Established in 2006, Eau de Web is a Romanian private limited liability company specialized in web development, publishing digital content, interactive data visualizations, online reporting tools and decision support systems.
Most of our work is open-source and some of our code is re-used by other communities. Our team includes contributors to open-source software such as Plone and Drupal content management systems.
Eau de Web’s expertise spans the entire software development lifecycle, including: product management, software architecture and system design, modern user interface design, accessibility and usability audits, web-based application development, system integration, data migrations, virtualization and private clouds, application management, system maintenance, web hosting, helpdesk and support, training services, and e-learning materials. All our services are delivered using Agile practices.
Our tools, knowledge and efficient internal processes allow us to deliver projects faster and using fewer resources than other vendors, while maintaining high quality standards.
The organizational structure of Eau de Web is designed for efficiency, revolving around customers, contracts, and technologies. Our management board includes the five managing partners, a financial director, and a human resource manager. Each contract is overseen by a senior manager, accountable for the overall delivery of the services and having solid experience in both software development and project/people management.

Eau de Web has developed since 2012 digital tools for the European Commission (DG Connect, DG Environment, DG Climate Action, EEA, EASME).
The EEA is the largest EU agency. Together with the Eionet network, they provide the knowledge and the data needed to achieve sustainability in Europe.
Since 2010, we’ve developed hundreds of digital products for EEA, working with a vast array of exciting technology stacks. Among others, their main website, the European Environment Information and Observation Network and the e-Reporting system for environmental and climate data.

ENISA is the EU’s response to cyber security issues of the European Union. As such, it is the pace-setter for Information Security in Europe, and a centre of expertise. ENISA’s website is the European hub for exchange of information, best practices and knowledge in the field of Information Security.
During 2010-2023 we have been designing, developing and hosting 15+ websites and information systems for ENISA, including their main website.
UNEP is the voice for the environment within the United Nations system.
Since 2011 we have been developing and hosting Drupal websites, mobile apps and decision support / online reporting systems for UN Environment and secretariats of global and regional MEAs - more than 30 Drupal websites and digital tools.

In addition to the 60+ medium and complex web portals developed since 2011 using Drupal, senior members of our Drupal team have been involved in bringing together the local community, organising events, contributing to open-source modules, and teaching Drupal development courses at the University of Bucharest.
